About Me
Gaussian Gourmet is where I keep a record of my interest in fine dining. It includes a food diary, where I log specific meals, as well as a blog of more general thoughts, observations, and reflections on food and the restaurant industry. I live in New Jersey, USA so my experiences are largely oriented around the New York City restaurant scene.
My education and professional background are not food related at all. I have a PhD in biostatistics and work in the pharmaceutical industry as a clinical trial statistician. I go into more detail about how I got into fine dining in a post on my blog.
